A warm, mobile-first website for a Markham private school — built to organize a remarkable amount of information and make admissions feel effortless for prospective families.
The Challenge
Wesley Christian Academy is a private independent early learning centre and elementary school in Markham, Ontario, serving students from Toddler through Grade 8. A school spanning that range carries an unusual amount of information: three separate admissions tracks, three academic divisions, extracurriculars, community programs, and a steady stream of school news. All of it had to be effortless for a prospective parent to navigate — and the site needed to convey the close-knit, nurturing character that families feel the moment they walk through the doors.
What We Did
We delivered a refreshed, mobile-first website design organized around the questions prospective families actually ask. Each division — Toddler/Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Elementary — was given its own clear path through curriculum, daily schedules, uniforms, trips and special events, and frequently asked questions, with a dedicated admissions process mapped to each entry point. Guided inquiry forms and a Book a Tour request give interested parents an obvious next step from anywhere on the site. We built on a content management system the school's own staff manage day to day, so teachers and administrators publish chapel recaps, graduation coverage, and classroom stories without needing a developer. Accessibility was considered throughout, and the school's social channels are integrated across the experience.
The Result
Wesley now has a website that reflects the school families experience in person — warm, organized, and trustworthy — while quietly doing the work of admissions in the background. Prospective parents can find what they need, understand the Wesley difference, and take a confident next step, and staff can keep the site current on their own.
