The Challenge

Everything useful was locked in a PDF.

JK Global's customers needed three things fast: how long will this take, what will it cost to class, and who do I talk to. All three lived in downloadable documents — a transit matrix, a service days map, a density worksheet — that nobody opens on a phone in a warehouse. The old site presented a logistics company that hadn't modernised. It needed to look like the operator it actually is, and to answer questions without a phone call.

What We Did

Rebuilt it as a set of working tools.

A ground-up redesign and Next.js build, then we took each of those documents and made it interactive: a clickable transit matrix over a map of Canada, a live density calculator, a resources hub, and a claims path that explains itself. On top of that: a full light and dark theme, a mobile-first layout for people working off a phone, and keyboard shortcuts for the dispatchers who live in the site all day.

Inside The Build

JK Global's interactive transit matrix tool, showing a clickable map of Canada and an estimated business-day transit result between two cities

The transit matrix became a tool instead of a download.

Pick an origin and a destination — or click two cities directly on the map of Canada — and the page returns the estimated business-day transit between them. The same dataset drives the map, the selects and the full 16×16 grid below, so nothing can drift out of sync.

  • Clickable SVG map of all 16 Canadian service hubs
  • Origin/destination selects and map stay in sync both ways
  • Colour-banded matrix: 1–2, 3–4, 5–7 and 8+ days
  • PDF still downloadable for procurement teams that need it

The Result

A site that answers the question before the phone rings.

JK Global's customers now self-serve the answers that used to take an email: transit times, density, service coverage, claims. The tools double as the reason to come back to the site, and every one of them ends in a path to a quote. It's kept fast, secure and current under our Website Maintenance Care Plan.
